Welcome to our Made with Music mini-gig! We’re so pleased you could join us today for three different acts - you can find more information about them below. Don’t forget to ask the musicians any questions you have after their set. Made with Music is an award winning charity and believe that everyone should have access to live music. We run these mini-gigs regularly at the Brudenell Social Club as well as other events for families to enjoy together. We try to make everything we do accessible and inclusive for everyone so please let us know if we can do anything to make today easier for you. Have fun!
ROMY TAYLOR
“A unique pop artist with her own spin on jazz, soul, and heart-felt ballads.”
Romy Taylor is an independent, Leeds-based vocalist and songwriter whose music sits at the intersection of alt-pop and contemporary jazz. Her sound is characterised by expressive vocals, instrospective songwriting, and a fluid, genre-blending approach. With roots in southern Spain, Romy’s heritage subtly informs her musical identity, influencing her melodic sensibilities and style both in the studio and on stage.
Romy has sold out 2 headliner shows in Leeds and packed out various other venues including the Brudenell for her recent ‘Human Nature’ single release show, Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen, the Wardrobe and The Attic. Festival appearances include We Out Here Festival, The Brudenell Piano Sessions, Leeds Jazz Festival, Live at Leeds and Main Stage at Humber Street Sesh. Romy has made appearances on BBC Introducing and Radio 5 Live, including appearances on Gordon Wedderburn’s OneJazz radio show and recognised within Crash Records’ “Next Big Thing” Series. Her singles ‘Nectarine’ and ‘Momentum’ were acclaimed on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds UK & IE” playlist.
Her upcoming EP ‘Human Nature’ is set to release the 26th of June. This summer, Romy will be taking on Kendal Calling and Shambala, with more events and shows TBC.
ELIA TOMÉ
Layers of expansive minimalism and carefully crafted thematic progressions are what create the unique yet familiar sound of Elia Tomé. Blending the organic with the electronic, the Greek-Lebanese songwriter and producer seeks nostalgic reverie in future soundscapes.
Athens born Elia Tomé is an independent songwriter and producer currently based in Leeds, UK. Elia has marked his sound with his debut album "Therefore I Am Not" a genre blending exploration of loss, separation, and self-discovery.

In developing new music, Elia Tomé is venturing further into the rich worlds of Greek and Arabic folklore.
FLO/RA
Flo/ra is a saxophone lead, genre-blurring jazz quintet lead by Flo (they/them) who writes music inspired by experiences of late diagnosis, identity and grief. The music has influences from gentler folk and classical music to heavier drum and bass, rock and electronic music to avoid comfortable classification, and express Flo’s inability to fit comfortably into boxes themselves as a neurodivergent queer person. Flo’s honest and open on stage demeanour alongside the band’s heavily crafted sound invites the audience to be part of their world, while feeling safe to come just as they are.
