Welcome to our Made with Music mini-gig! We’re so pleased you could join us today for three different acts - you can find more information about them below. Don’t forget to ask the musicians any questions you have after their set. Made with Music is an award winning charity and believe that everyone should have access to live music. We run these mini-gigs regularly at the Brudenell Social Club as well as other events for families to enjoy together. We try to make everything we do accessible and inclusive for everyone so please let us know if we can do anything to make today easier for you. Have fun!
Choby
Born in the beating heart of the Mediterranean Sea, the Cypriot singer-songwriter and producer Choby moved to Hull, England at 18 years old on his path to become an internationally-acclaimed artist. As evident in his music, the artist is eager to fuse the sonic elements of home into his craft, while maintaining his passion to push the boundaries of his art. Choby strives for a truly authentic sound through a congruous blend of heartfelt lyricism, bluesy guitar solos, hard-hitting drum beats and jazzy chords. The artist decontextualises these elements with a unique Mediterranean style that is both new and exciting to audiences all over the world.
Tinesha Kinley
Tinesha Kinley combines the perfect mix of moody alt rock and twinkly indie pop with her gut-wrenching yet playful lyrics taking centre stage. Inspired by 2000s pop, 2010s indie rock and the rise of 2020s queer artists, her distorted guitar lays the foundation for her confessional lyrics to rest upon.
Cri du Canard
Cri du Canard are a French folk trio, currently based in the North of England. With passion and experience coming out of their ears, these three highly regarded musicians throw themselves into their work, performing and leading workshops across the UK and EU with expertise, humour, and panache. After properly establishing this band in 2021 - following a glorious summer's evening of music, dance, and food - Grace, Sam, and Dave warmly invite you to share in the joy of French and Breton music, dance the night away to these infectious, energy-infused grooves, or simply sit back and enjoy the hypnotic interplay of fiddle, flute and box. Expect to be transported to the beating musical heart of France, with an experience as nourishing for the soul as a good bowl of boeuf bourguignon.
