OPEN
OPEN is a new inclusive ensemble in Leeds for anyone who might need extra support to make music with family and friends.
Following on from our pilot project last year, we are excited to tell you that, thanks to funding from Youth Music, OPEN will be running regularly from September 2025 in partnership with Leeds Conservatoire.
Why? Many families we work with in Leeds have asked for a place they can make music together and find their needs aren’t met in other music groups. This new project will allow up to 10 families to join us on a Saturday afternoon at Leeds Conservatoire to create new music and develop musical skills.
Who? Advised age is 8+ but get in touch if you think someone younger might want to join. All children need to be accompanied by an adult or PA but we welcome your whole family unit (whatever that may look like) to join in the fun.
What? We will have a range of instruments for you to try at each
session or you can bring along something you like to play at home, or perhaps that you used to play when you were younger!
When & Where? All sessions will take place from 2.15-4.15pm at Leeds Conservatoire, 3 Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7PD

We have recruited our families for this first term of OPEN but if you are interested in joining us in the future, please get in touch and we can organise a visit or a chat.
Our next term will start in February 2026.
Contact us on here or at hello@madewithmusic.co.uk if you have any questions, leave a number if you need a call back.
This is a new group for Made with Music and we want to design it around you, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions as it might help us too. We will provide picture guides in advance which will show you the music leader team and pictures of the space we will use each week. We will have a breakout space for participants throughout the session as well as regular breaks. When you apply, we will ask specific questions regarding your access requirements and will endeavour to meet them all!
This project is in partnership with Leeds Conservatoire
and funded by Youth Music
