Live music events for the whole family
We love live music but don't get to see as much as we'd like.
Our Mini-Gigs are designed so that the whole family can enjoy access to the brilliant musicians Leeds has to offer.
We're delighted that in 2019 our Mini-Gigs won an #OutstandingAttitudeAward for live event accessibility.
See our Mini-Gigs page for more information.
INCLUSIVE MUSIC WORKSHOPS
For existing organisations, support groups and hospitals
We are passionate about access and inclusion and aim for everything we do to be inclusive; everyone is welcome at all of our public activities. We also work together with specialist organisations and families to design and deliver music workshops appropriate for the needs of their group.
We currently deliver regular workshops at Hannah House (a respite home for 0-18 year olds with high care needs), SNAPS (Special needs and parent support Yorkshire), Sunshine and Smiles (the Leeds Down's Syndrome Network) and on the children's oncology ward at Leeds General Infirmary. Here is some information about our work at the LGI:
TRAINING AND CPD SESSIONS
For a wide range of care staff and parents
We are experienced at designing and developing training and CPD sessions.
Recently we have delivered training for a variety of early years settings, foster carers, respite and healthcare staff.
'Made with Music have been sensationally good at helping me develop confidence in the teaching of music. They’ve also delivered very memorable lessons for my year 4 class and have helped enthuse them with a real passion for song and music. The variety has been excellent too. Thank you Made with Music!'
WE'RE OFF ON AN ADVENTURE
We use a lot of our own songs as well as old favourites in our workshops. Recently, we were commissioned to write a song for the NYMAZ Early Years Songbook: Songs for Modern Childhoods. Our song was about going on an adventure and we've used it in many of our sessions since we wrote it, as well as some of the other fantastic songs in the book.
You can listen to a recording of the song we made with some under-5s and their families here:
